.... It's just a really bad show to me okay. It's incredibly messy. There's no real characters of consequence other than Becca and Michael - everyone else are just plot devices. Paul's plot is just so sloppy. One of the few really interesting characters kind of disappear after a while. Becca is such a pseudo-feminist.

I literally want to take a red pen and edit everything to make it so much better.

I had a sort of feeling it might be like that. It takes a clever - very clever - director to cut into flashbacks. I had the thought that this did seem to 'wander' all over from just seeing the screencaps Govi had put up. And what is Paul sposed to have been looking for/at/around at first. I gather he is sposed to be a spyer person. So ... oh dear. sounds like a load of rice pudding. Did you see the baby bit with Sean? has that shown up yet - I gather it is a series?

Poor darling, he is picking some lousy films lately... oh god. KIng Bean...ick!!! Maybe he has all these wives to pay off? I know he doesn't collect sums like the Hollywood lot do. It bothers me. I wonder how he got on at the police station again this week? Report weekly when you're on bail (usually). Poor love. want to cuddle and feed him my lovely meat pie and chips!!! comfort food for him. teehee. Mothering Me coming out.

He's basically a spy, but they never really clarified his storyline. First they had him as a traitor, which was awesome because it was so unexpected, especially with the way he's portrayed in the flashbacks. But then apparently he's not a traitor, but instead he was undercover (while having a family and being able to spend time with Michael more than Becca) and his cover was blown, that's why he faked his death! In order to clear his name! Which took ten years! And Martin was the one who set him up and kept him off the trail and he never noticed. But Martin is so stupid that he doesn't know what 'changing plans' mean and it took a whole of ten minutes to find him and kill him!

So basically this is a show with characters who are all idiots. I don't blame the director. I blame the writers. Seriously? Seriously, this is how you're going to write this damn show? The last episode is just such a trainwreck. Also, on an entirely too shallow note, the entire cast except for Sean and Giancarlo are ugly. :|

(Also, this might be really stalkerish, but as far as I know, I don't think he has anymore alimony etc to pay for Mel, but definitely child support for Evie since she's the only one still underaged. Georgiana had a pre-nup worth of 500k, I think.)

Oh god, it sounds so... awful. Oh BEAN... where are the decent films. EVo... you and I are going to have to get together and write him one! Where he can show ALL his acting abilities. from him to angst, pain, anger, loss, and all the bits right through to LOVE. Cos that man can ACT in a most subtle and brilliant way. Look at Outlaw. All he did was twitch a lip and I broke my heart. And he can HATE through his eyes, Patriot Games. We've got to find him a decent story to do! This sounds like what the scribblers used to call a 'pot boiler' just something to keep the name rolling. (and the pot boilers from Picasso...he used to do about five a day!!!) He's WASTED doing this crap.

I WISH he WOULD do a decent film... golly when did we last see one. Anna K? Age of Heros. urrghhh. Bravo two zero was good. Outlaw, Hitcher in a strange way and the Big Empty but that took no acting really. Just pretty. Ah, Ca$h... that I LIKED. he was interesting in that... all sorts of 'sides' to the character in that. I wish they would find the funds to do his Macbeth. he so wants that to happen - and by golly - when did we ever see a REAL Macbeth - the tortured man, not the 'spouting Shakepearan actor mouthing'. Bean SHOULD do that. Doesn't matter how old he is either.

GoT was all right the first series, but it is now developing into 'See how much kink I can do in a series!" from the writer/director/producer/whoever. It is almost obscenely silly. NO plot at ALL. I think they are making up as they go along. And SLOOOOOWWW.. ick. I know, the BOOKS are written hahah - YOU do better than those!

The acting in that got beheaded as the same time as Ned did. Truly. and there are supposed to be good actors in it, Charles Dance for one. the little Tyrion Lannister dwarf person is fun more real than the other garbage. Even Lena Headey tries like hell and has lovely eyes but she can't hold it ALL together.

I despair of ever seeing a good film, except I MUST see ADM. On the Road is getting bad crits. (too many of that sort of film have been made) about three on the screens right now!!!! Oh dear, this is a rant... can I put it under a cut?

The last five years: The Hitcher was good, fuck what all the critics said. He was so brilliant in it. I just. I love his John Ryder so, so much. Far North was brilliant and that's all I'm going to say about it because that movie has scarred me for life. Sharpe and Red Riding are both amazing, even though I think the latter screwed up in the latter two episodes. But Sean's in the first one and that one's the best done, so who cares. Black Death is actually really stunning even though I keep wanting to punch Eddie Redmayne in the throat. I need to watch Age of Heroes.

... I couldn't watch Ca$h because I love him but I have my limits and that movie is fucking terrible. I think he just took it because he got to play twins, which is fun. But holy shit it was so terrible in terms of storytelling. I don't understand how such stories got financed without massive editing and rewrites.

You're right about Game of Thrones. I watched it for Ned but I honestly cannot continue on because it just... I don't like sex on my TV shows okay. I'm a prude. I... haven't watched the second season, so I'll take your word on that.

ALSO: do watch A Dangerous Method. Fassbender falls a little flat in terms of compelling, but he's very, very solid as the main actor. Knightley is a huge dividing factor. But Viggo is just stunning in his role. I was just like sdgdfgdsfd sdfdfgvdsger sdfgdfh all throughout because he embodied Freud so perfectly that I heard his voice whenever I was reading Freud's essays for my school work. Also, if you want good films, Viggo's entire oeuvre is worth watching. Completely serious.

I agree with Ryder's depiction. He was so subtley torn in that. I LOVED it. Ignored the stupid, but watch it over and over for Sean's little 'give-aways'... and there's something so tortuously tragic in Ryder somewhere. I so want to get it out and help him. Bean does villans so well, you do know there's something 'else' inside, not just baaaad. Yeah Red Riding... see icon. And he made being really wierd seem almost naturally all right. Clever. And the confident plump fatcat business man. ooooh good that. Now that was a good series, the three altogether really. the second felt a bit flat.... went on a touche too long. Aaaahrrggh don't tell me about Far North.. that was quite horrific. Such a beautiful tale up until......

Yep. All Viggo's films. I think I have almost every one. Can't get hold of 'The Reflecting Skin'. which affected me tremendously. really devastating. I think I have all but the GI Joe one, and one about a motor boat when he had a ginger mustache and the film seemed to be bright ginger too!!! But Viggo aaah. Viggo aaaaaah . HE doesn't act, he IS!!!! adores beyond all sense I does. Think I shall have to get the DVD of ADM tho I will see it on bigscreen as well. I think our Beanie is very much going after every offer at the moment just to be busy and distract himself. That man doesn’t do “living alone” very good, I’m afraid. So he grabs everything they offer him no matter what.
I don’t like Ashley Judd (I think - and this is my personal opinion - she’s a bad actress).
The show doesn’t do anything for me at all. So it’s as usual picking the raisins out of the cake and just watch the Sean bits and the rest is for fast forward.

The episodes without him in it made me just want to fast forward but I keep hoping that he'll pop up or be mentioned or something but no. Nothing. Three episodes of nothing. What the fuck is this planning. They hinged this entire show on Becca but- okay, Judd isn't exactly a bad actress, but she hasn't the charisma to carry the show by herself.

She's also very American in her acting (all tell, not much show). Like, the last episode, with her reunion with her son? Her hug with Michael rings acting-ish to me, in compared to Sean's acting. It's just- OH, TUMBLR, YOU'RE USEFUL.

Sorry, just had to add that I had seen Ashley Judd in other movies and she always seemed to act very flat, if you know what I mean. But then again she hadn’t such strong partners at her side. (Seen her with Kevin Costner and they both were rubbish, Gene Hackman acted them off the screen.)

I don't know, I think she's fine, but she's better as a character actress than a main role, because I don't think she can carry off an entire series well.

I just check her filmography and to my shame I have seen several of those films but she never sprang out at me as rememberable. *scratches chin* Now what does that say about her and me.

I didn't like this show, I feel is plot is qute silly and I don't like AJ as an actress. Our Sean is a bit of a workaholic, even though I really hate the assumption he is signing on to as many things as he can, because he needs to forget (his ex-wife, marriages, what ever). WTF do we know?

He's always been a workaholic and now he has this new project for the Summer and the great Devil's Peak in September.

Fact is; he always delivers and that's the only thing that counts for me. His private life is his own and I am not exactly thrilled about his 'fans' falling over themselves to blame everything going on in his life to bad choices. He is what he is, which is a damned good actor and that's the only thing I am interested in, apart from his deliciousness.

I think Viggo shouldn't be compared with Sean. He's a different person and as much as I love them together, a totally different kind of actor. I like him in A Dangerous Method , but I think the film isn't that great and I much preferred A History of Violence, or Eastern Promises.

I don't think Sean would have made a good Nikolai, but then again Idon't think Viggo would have been a good Ned either. And I've seen quite a few crappy films that Viggo made even though he always performed great.

There you go for choices. It iisn't probably always the easiest thing to choose from a script. For me, Sean's done well, on a disappointing show and he's got my full support, because he's a great and underrated actor, humble and giving.

Apart from that; I still haven't read your fic, which is frustrating, but RL is been awful. Will do, though and will comment.

One more thought: perhaps I shouldn't have barged in on this so strongly and I apologise if I did, but it's something that's been bothering me for a long time; people giving comments on Sean's personal life, whch they know nothing about, apart from what they read on the rags. It's always the same; Viggo, the quirky, but intelligent persona and Sean the dumbass, making the wrong choices. I really think there's more complexity to both of them.

I'll admit, you did come along quite strongly, but if it's something you feel strongly about, I don't think that you have to apologise for it at all. Though I don't think I'm exactly the right person to say this to, because I try my best to only speculate in fic. I admit fully and completely to being terribly stalker-like to everything I get my hands on, but I do try my best to not make conclusions from them, since he's not exactly a character. He's a real person.

The thing is, I don't think that it's exactly avoidable that people do indulge in speculation and making conclusions about him. In a sense I think that a lot of celebrities are treated exactly as characters, because they are so far away and they are shown in manners that are almost exactly the same as how we are generally exposed to characters on movies and tv shows. They are not exactly real sometimes - like when the news broke out of Sean's recent altercations, a lot of the comments in the articles immediately condemned him no matter how little we know, because we're used to being an audience and assuming that everything we see is all of it. I don't think it's a good thing to do at all and I try my best not to, but it's honestly something that people just do automatically nowadays. That, and speculating on the reasons why someone else do one thing or another. It's just natural instinct and a want for answers, I think, even if we might make that answer up. I don't think it necessary means that we believe in it.

The comparisons between Viggo and Sean weren't meant -

bluegerl brought up ADM and asked for films to watch, and off the top of my head are just all of the ones in Viggo's filmography, since I actually did watch them all and so I can actually recommend them with a straight face. (I do agree about preferring Eastern Promises and A History of Violence way over A Dangerous Method.) There's definitely a lot more complexities to Viggo and Sean both, and I think that all of us, as Sean's fans, definitely know that Sean is the furthest away from stupid, whatever we speculate about the reasons behind his decisions.

Oh, and don't worry at all about the fic. It's not going to go away any time soon, so take your time. I hope RL does getting better for you, though! ♥

Dear Govi. Sorry I think you think I am serious in my 'believings' about the Bean. I am so damned old and I COULD very well be his mother.. and I think of him as if he were that, young enough to be a 'son'. The Lad. The Bean. Don't fret, bluegerl. I just hate speciulation and gossip. I am not referring to you, just in general. Running a website about him for almost 6 years and a forum for almost 7 years has been hard sometimes, as both the press and a part of his 'fanbase' love to interfere with his private life, telling tales of drunkeness and cruelty to quote the Kinks. And then there's the trashing of his girlfriends, wives and ex-wives. Makes me glad to not be a celeb or married to one. His private life is not my business, but his alone and I don't have a f****g clue if he's happy or not. Just hope he is.

Yes, I've read some of the 'blogs' that talk about him, (and Viggo too, he hasn't escaped being called an adulterer..honestly).. And I really cannot believe that people can talk as if they know anything at all, and they're so beastly. They are even more guessing than anyone, and take a delight in foulcalling helpless people.
