Okay. So I have watched Ouran 25, subbed by Lunar.
EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE (TO ME), SO WHY THE HELL IS SO MANY PEOPLE FREAKING OUT AND SCREAMING?!
Jesus Christ, talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. I understand outrage at the OOC of Tamaki's grandmother, but, really, Yoshio (I love that name so very, very much. It fits so well for Kyouya's father) isn't very much out-of-character, unless you count him not knowing that his son was the member of the Host Club for two years. And he is under stress, as there's probably a scandal involving the Ohtori family...
Yuzuru is love. I love LOVE LOVE his speech to Tamaki. It's like he's talking about his own personal experiences, and that fits. The whole thing with Tamaki's mother, and how Yuzuru is talking about being 'selfish'... I daresay that his mother had said that he was selfish before, when he wanted to divorce his wife and marry Tamaki's mother. And the whole 'call me SUPERINTENDANT' thing? He's teasing Tamaki, damnit.
Also, is everyone so blinded to the Eclair-hatred that they failed to see one vital clue? The tiny flashback she had while listening to Tamaki playing the piano? With Tamaki's mother sitting at the window? And then, straight after the flashback, she starts talking about family and pretences and 'I can give you what you want'.
Personal interpretation here, but it's so plainly obvious to me that she wants to take Tamaki to see his mother. The whole engagement-and-marriage thing is probably faked to drag him to France. Five bucks says that Tamaki's mother is dying or she has completely recovered from her 'ill health'.
Eclair's not that bad, actually. Her voice is annoying, though. She is smart. And observant. What's with all those 'OMG SHE IS SUCH A BIIIIITCH' comments anyway?
And oooh! We get slight Kyouya->Tamaki hints at the end that's probably drowned under the whole Tamaki/Haruhi episode, but still. 'I'm glad that Tamaki is who he is right now. He'll be alright'
Kyouya has so much trust in Tamaki. So much confidence and oh, oh my Tamaki/Kyouya fangirl heart is nearly combusting with sheer GLEE. But anyway.
The biggest issue I have with this episode is the sheer Haruhi-OOC. WTF. She is suddenly jealous? And why the hell are the twins the ones who say that? It doesn't make any sense! It's like. They suddenly decide 'OH and here, -shoves in Tamaki/Haruhi-' without even planning beforehand. I like Tamaki/Haruhi, but I like Haruhi as a character more. So please, stop raping her characterisations just so you can have a HAPPI HAPPI TAMAKI/HARUHI ending.
Sheeeesh.
Haruhi's mother issues is so much more prevalent in the anime. Hah. I think they did it on purpose to increase the connection Tamaki and Haruhi have over their mothers. Man, it's kind of odd that a whole goddamn RELATIONSHIP is based on mother-complexes. And people wonder why I ship Tamaki/Kyouya. They have so much more in common.

... I should stop here before I go into yet another essay about why I like Tamaki/Kyouya more than Tamaki/Haruhi. I like both. Really. I'm just so much more prejudiced towards one.
