I'll do both. XD Tamaki-POV Kyouya/Tamaki drabble. -stretches fingers-

-

Tamaki knows that Kyouya is a protective person.

Kyouya protects people in the most subtle of ways. He isn't like Mori-senpai, who watches people and quietly and surely steer them away from danger. Everyone knows of Mori-senpai's protective instincts, especially towards Honey-senpai, because Mori-senpai wasn't afraid to protect others in front of everyone. Mori-senpai likes being thought as protective, as a knight in shining armour. Tamaki knows this.

Kyouya protects people from afar, so far back from the stage that he had disappeared into the curtains. Kyouya scribbles notes down on his notebook and meticulously organises every single one of the Host Club events. Kyouya takes care of the finances so Tamaki won't have to worry about them, and he protects the members by manipulating them out of danger so well that they don't realize that they were in danger in the first place. Kyouya keeps the Host Club, Tamaki's dream, alive and afloat, and isn't that a form of protection as well?

Tamaki watches Kyouya and sees his hidden, relieved smile when he carries Haruhi out of the ocean. He sees the worry in Kyouya's eyes when they twins fought, and he knows, somehow, that it wasn't just for the Host Club's finances. He sees the clenched fists when Tamaki himself was berated by his grandmother, and he has to smile because that isn't necessary, because Tamaki can protect himself. He's Prince Charming, after all.

But he likes having Kyouya there, so much that he can't imagine the Host Club without its Vice-President, hidden in the shadows, quietly orchestrating events so that none of them will be hurt. He can't see his life without Kyouya, without his best friend beside him, silently supportive even as he smirks and sneers and teases. It used to be a terrifying thought, years ago, but Tamaki knows that it is just the plain truth, and has accepted it. He knows that though he rarely (?) needs to be protected, he still likes having Kyouya with him to catch him and to be caught in return.

He didn't name him 'Mother' for no reason, after all.

No 'family' is complete without 'Mother'. Tamaki knows that very well.

Kill me now this is so bad, omg.
